Enhanced User Convenience via Voice Recognition in Bathroom and Kitchen system

First Commercial Application of ABOV Semiconductor’s AI-ADAM-100 Always-On Voice Tech



HIMPEL, a leading specialist in ventilation system, has elevated its product lineup by integrating On-Device AI voice recognition technology from ABOV Semiconductor, a leading system semiconductor specialist.

HIMPEL announced on the 13th that it has incorporated ABOV’s low-power On-Device AI voice recognition into its bathroom ventilation system, HueZentte Air360, and kitchen ventilation system, Huecla Fore. Both products have subsequently earned the AI+ certification from the Korean Standards Association (KSA). This achievement is particularly significant as it marks a pioneering case of AI+ certification for ventilation appliances. Furthermore, it represents the first commercial application of ABOV Semiconductor’s AI-ADAM-100, an AI MCU-based, low-power, always-on voice recognition technology.

The AI-ADAM-100 is a low-power AI MCU designed to process AI functions directly within smart appliances and industrial equipment. A key feature is its ability to perform voice recognition and AI inference locally, without requiring high-performance processors or cloud server connectivity. This on-device architecture also offers superior privacy protection, as voice data is processed entirely within the unit and is never transmitted to external servers.

The core of this advancement lies in the seamless integration of AI voice recognition with the HueZentte series' primary functions: ventilation, dehumidification (drying), heating, and hair-drying. Users can activate commands such as air volume adjustment, lighting control, and power settings using the wake-word “Hi HIMPEL.” This provides an intuitive, hands-free experience in bathroom environments, where manual operation is often hindered by wet hands or the simple inconvenience of handling a remote control. The technology is featured in the new HueZentte Air360 and HueZentte A9 models, the latter of which will be showcased at the ‘2026 HVAC Korea’ (Korea Mechanical Equipment Exhibition) from May 13th to 15th.

This AI-based voice recognition is also applied to the kitchen system, Huecla Fore. Following the “Hi HIMPEL” command, users can control airflow, automatic modes, lighting, and power by voice. Huecla Fore is designed to provide IoT connectivity and automated ventilation based on real-time air quality monitoring.

An official from ABOV Semiconductor added, “The first commercialization of our AI-ADAM-100-based voice recognition in HIMPEL’s products is a milestone achievement. As demands for response speed, privacy, and network independence grow, our technology minimizes cloud reliance by performing AI computations on the device itself. This product utilizes an AI model trained on over 1.4 million voice data samples and SPU (Sparse Processing Unit)-based AI optimization, ensuring stable performance even in noisy environments.”
